Emma was once a very sensible scientist with a biology degree, she now uses her transferable skills of attention to detail, patience and accuracy, to sew on Cubs badges and pick up Lego. And to write children’s books.
As well as writing for younger readers and young adults, Emma has a passion for: not cooking, Buck Rogers, deserts, desserts, hats and Death on the Nile.
Her debut novel, Mighty Milton, was shortlisted for the 2018 Bath Children’s Novel Award and will be published by Chicken House in 2019. She has short fiction published by Shift Magazine and Reflex Fiction.
She lives in Bath, with her young family and many, many notebooks.
