Lisa studied for her BA in illustration at Kingston University and then fell into the world of graphic design, spending the next fifteen years as graphic designer for the Financial Times.
She has always been very creative, whether it be drawing, painting, designing fabric or making toys and sculptures. After having her two young daughters, she rekindled her love of children’s book illustration and felt the time was right to restart her career as an illustrator. In 2015 she graduated from the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.
While studying on the course, she created the illustrations for The Find It Book, with a text by Margaret Wise Brown (author of Goodnight Moon). The Find It Book was published by Paragon, and was shortlisted for the AOI World Illustration awards in the New Talent category.
Lisa lives in Bedfordshire with her family and a very large ginger cat, and her most recent picture book Lionel and the Lion’s Share, written by Lou Peacock, was published by Nosy Crow in January 2018.
