Irish Book Awards Shortlist for Goodnight Everyone and A Child of Books

We are delighted to see that Goodnight Everyone by Chris Haughton, and A Child of Books by Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston have been shortlisted for The Specsavers Children’s Book of the Year (Junior) 2016  in the Irish Book Awards.

Goodnight Everyone is a captivating bedtime story about a little bear who tries to stay up all night, even when all the other animals in the forest are sleeping. Its bright images and soothing text is sure to send readers of all ages into the sweetest of dreams.

This perfect starlit bedtime book will have parents yawning dangerously alongside their offspring. The Guardian

A Child of Books is the inspiring tale of a little boy who makes a very bookish friend. Together they go on a lyrical trip through literary landscapes and discover the joy of reading.

We can forget sometimes just how much picture books are works of art: this is a reminder of how stunning they can be. The Irish Times
