Just a small reminder that the first book of the Templar series,“The Last Templar”, has recently been republished in paperback.
Michael Jecks’ (also known as the master of the medieval murder mystery) writes a devastating political and religious story of betrayal. The Templars are destroyed in the belief that they are devil worshippers; an opinion influenced by the King’s jealousy. Templar knight Sir Baldwin Furnshill barely escapes, vowing vengeance for his wronged brothers-in-arms. Returning home to Devon, he joins bailiff Simon Puttock to investigate cases of arson, murder and revenge.
Being Jecks’ first book, he feels an irrevocable bond with his characters:
“It was the book that introduced two characters with whom I’ve lived for the last twenty years or so. A renegade knight and gang of outlaws made the story exciting to write, and my own problems while writing it only added to my feelings of affection for the book.”
