We are so excited to announce that Egmont has sold the rights to The It Girl, the first in a teen series from debut author Katy Birchall, in 10 languages! Rights have been sold in French (to Pocket Jeunesse), German (Egmont Germany), Spanish (Planeta), Catalan (Grup 62) Brazilian Portuguese (Rocco), Dutch (JP Publishing), Czech (Egmont Czech), Bulgarian (Egmont Bulgaria), Norwegian and Finnish (Bazar Forlag). The It Girl series is aimed at readers aged 11+ and follows the adventures of Anna Huntley (and her beloved furry sidekick Dog) as she transforms from social outcast to overnight It Girl, when her dad starts dating the most famous actress in the world! But is being the latest It Girl really a dream come true, or will it turn out to be Anna's worst nightmare? The It Girl will be published in the UK this year, with two subsequent titles to follow in 2016.
