Bola Sol revealed as one of the three new authors in the #Merky Books How to…series!

​We are thrilled to announce that Bola Sol will join the landmark #Merky Books How To… Series with: How To Save It: Fix Your Finances!

Commissioned by editor Lemara Lindsay-Prince and publishing on Thursday 7th January 2021, the book will be packed with practical tools and tips, from how to build a budget, and stick to it.

Fixing your finances starts with facing your finances. This indispensable guide will confront the awkwardness we have with our money, coach you through understanding your current habits, and champion you to change your relationship with money for the better. Dealing with your debt, starting the steps to investment, and breaking down money myths and tricky terminology. Follow the advice of a financial wellness guru who will fill you with the motivation and know-how to flourish financially on your own terms.

Bola Sol is a Mathematics and Finance graduate who found passion in women coming together to discuss money matters. She created the platform Refined Currency in 2015 and its sister company Rich Girl Chronicles. She is the co-host of The Last Three Digits podcast, host of web series The Bola Sol show and leads weekly chats on social media about money. ​Bola will be joined by two other authors for the #Merky Book series including, Grace F. Victory, How To Calm It, and Joslyn Thompson Rule, How To Move It. All three books will be publishing on the same day.

The titles are the second set of three in the twelve-part series and follow on from the stand out publications of How To Build It, How To Write It and How To Change It which were released in October 2020. These titles received a positive and wide reaching reception with coverage on BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Capital Xtra, The Guardian, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 4, ELLE, Refinery 29, GRM DAILY to name a few media outlets. The books were also the inspiration for a roundtable discussion series in partnership with Beats by Dr Dre which included the authors and other young professionals from each industry.

How To… is a fresh series and ground-breaking programme of short and practical pocketsized guides. The books are designed to empower a new generation to unlock their potential, provoke change and learn more. Creatively presented, packed with practical advice, clear steps and relatable through lived experiences, the How To… series offers a new model in publishing, helping to break down barriers of knowledge.
