BLM agent, Jo Bell, has sold the World rights for two novels by debut author Carly Schabowski to Bookouture’s Publishing Director, Kathryn Taussig!

The two books: The Ringmaster’s Daughter and The Watchmaker of Dachau are both moving tales based on true stories from the Second World War.

Not only am I delighted to be collaborating with the supportive team at Bookouture, I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to pursue my passion of writing WWII historical fiction. This story is centred around survival, human suffering, and the finding of love within the backdrop of the desperate and uncertain times of 1940s Europe. The passion for this story to be told is reflected by the team, in particular Kathryn Taussig, who has been its champion since the very beginning.

From the moment I first read Carly’s writing I knew that she had a very special talent. Her ability to create nuanced, realistic characters and paint beautiful descriptions with her words brings the history is she writing about to life. I feel very privileged to get the chance to publish these two novels and I know Carly’s future readers are going to adore them.
