Sophy Henn and Ben Manley Picked as Sunday Times Children’s Book of The Week

Times Sohphy

We are so chuffed that Nicolette Jones of the Sunday Times has picked Sophy Henn's hilarious new book, Pizazz as her Children's Book of the Week! And Nicolette picked Ben Manley's Albert Talbot, Master of Disguise as her one to "Watch Out For"

Nicolette on Pizazz

Sophy Henn’s funny new series is about Pizazz, a girl from a family of superheroes who has an embarrassing superpower (secret till the end) and lives an ordinary life when not flying through space to save the world from supervillains called Twerknado or Megavom. She has to wear her cape all the time, she doesn’t like her name and at her new school the leader of the popular girls sneers.

When Pizazz embarks on a more everyday way to save the planet, taking on big business and the local council to stop a park being turned into a car park, she finds friends and new confidence. Illustrated in manga-style cartoons, with Marvel-spoofing episodes in comic strip, this is a witty and original reminder that superheroes are human too.

Just the book if you like silly names: Albert’s disguises range from rustler Clate Stouderhoofen to engineer Octavius Pickleswick. Lively pictures offer funny ideas and interesting detail.

We are so proud of both of them!
