Samantha Baines is an award-winning comedian, actress, author, broadcaster, hearing aid wearer, knitter, divorcee and feminist. She likes to keep busy and you may have seen her keeping busy in acting roles in Netflix’s The Crown, Call the Midwife or Silent Witness, among others. Pre-pandemic she spent eighteen months as the female MC for Magic Mike Live at the Hippodrome Casino, directed by Channing Tatutm and WhatsOnStage called her performance ‘out and out hilarious’, which was nice.

If you don’t like watching things, you may have heard her presenting on BBC Radio London, BBC 5Live, BBC Radio Kent and Virgin Radio. Sam is also the host of THE DIVORCE CLUB podcast where she interviews comedians and other celebrities about their experience of getting divorced. With over 60k downloads in the first 6 months, the podcast featured on iTunes New and Noteworthy, on BBC regional radio, the London Podcast Festival 2020, Times Radio, BBC 5Live and was the number one relationship podcast on iTunes!

The paperback came out in May 2020 and is a Booktrust pick on Amazon and was featured in the Booktrust Great Books 2020 guide. Her debut adult non-fiction, Living With Hearing Loss and Deafness published in April 2023.
