Shakaila Forbes-Bell is a published Fashion Psychologist, consultant, experienced marketer, writer and founder of ‘Fashion is Psychology’ a platform dedicated to making academic research into Fashion Psychology more accessible. Her work investigating the impact of racial diversity in fashion media has been published in the International Journal of Market Research. She has worked with global fashion brands like Next, Sainsbury’s and AfterPay to help consumers understand the psychological significance of their clothing and beauty choices. She has bylines in renowned magazines including, i-D, Glamour and Marie Claire and has been featured in numerous international publications including Vogue, Stylist, The Business of Fashion, Harper’s Bazaar, the Guardian, and more.

Her debut book, Big Dress Energy was published in September 2022 with Piatkus.
