Picture Books

Emma Lewis is an illustrator and designer from London, and creates work spanning both narrative and commercial illustration. She studied at UAL Camberwell College of Arts and Falmouth University, Cornwall. She is largely inspired by naïve/folk art, mid-century picture books and travel, which are all reflected in her distinctive style of working.

Her debut picture book as author-illustrator, The Museum of Me (Tate Publishing, 2016), won the BolognaRagazzi Opera Prima Award and went on to be shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize and nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Emma’s second picture book, Two Kings (Tate Publishing, 2018) was shortlisted in the 2019 World Illustration Awards.
