Picture Books

Having previously studied Child Development, Georgia takes inspiration from her work supporting children and young people struggling with learning and mental health difficulties. She is passionate about using picturebooks as a tool to help children navigate their emotional experiences, aiming to imbue her characters with a humour and liveliness which, she hopes cuts through the difficult subject matter.

Georgia recently completed her Masters in Picturebook Illustration at Goldsmiths University of London, over the course of which she developed her distinctive whimsical aesthetic and a keen eye for design. Georgia’s work is rich in detail and full of surprises; one of her favourite things to sew into her illustrations is to hide tiny details in the background of her spreads for children to spot and puzzle over.

Georgia’s poem, “Brave” was recently shortlisted for the Poetry division of the Bournemouth Writing Prize 2021.
