A Place Called Perfect is a Tom Fletcher Book Club pick!

Helena Duggan's debut middle grade novel, A Place Called Perfect (Usborne), has been selected by Tom Fletcher as one of his W H Smith Book Club choices.

Violet never wanted to move to Perfect. Who wants to live in a town where everyone has to wear glasses to stop them going blind? And who wants to be neat and tidy and perfectly behaved all the time? Violet quickly discovers there's something weird going on in the town - she keeps hearing voices, her mam is acting strange and her dad has disappeared. When she meets Boy she realizes that her dad is not the only person to have vanished... and that the mysterious Watchers are guarding a perfectly creepy secret!

Tom has reviewed A Place Called Perfect and described it as 'a little spooky' and as being 'one of those books you think about when you're not reading it' - you can read his full review here!

A Place Called Perfect is also featured in Tom's amazing launch video for the Book Club which you can watch below.
