Happy publication day to Dear Tilly… by Rachel Ann Cullen!

What do you say to your daughter when she asks you perfectly reasonable questions about life?

Do you respond by only revealing the Instagram-filtered version of yourself and your life experience?

... Or do you choose a different way?

Rachel Ann Cullen decided to remove the Instagram filters and bear all to her teenage daughter, Tilly, as she shares with her how life has challenged her in uncomfortable and unexpected ways, and what she has learned as a result.

Having dealt with the shame and stigma of her own mental illness, Rachel wanted Tilly to know that real learning comes from a deeper place. To this end, she recounts previously untold stories from her back catalogue of failing and falling short, stories about making mistakes and learning lessons.

Rachel opens up to her daughter and others about how she has found it possible to listen to the Tiny Voice - the deepest part of herself that does know the answer to those uncomfortable, overwhelming crossroads that we all struggle to navigate at certain times in our lives.

This book is part memoir, part lessons in the form of letters that Rachel has written to her daughter about life as Tilly enters her teenage years and Rachel reaches her twenty-seventh year of womanhood.
