DK will publish two books from "The Great British Bake Off" finalist Sandro Farmhouse across both the adult and children’s list.
Cara Armstrong, editorial director for DK Life, acquired world all-language rights from Lauren Gardner at Bell Lomax in conjunction with Mokkingbird Talent for Good Vibes Baking: Bakes To Make Your Soul Shine and Your Taste Buds Sing. Additionally a joint deal will also see Farmhouse’s debut cookbook for children, Baking Together. World rights were acquired by Francesca Young, publisher for DK Children’s. Good Vibes Baking with launch in 2024 with the children’s title to follow a year later.
DK said that with Good Vibes Baking, which includes over 80 recipes, "Sandro is on a mission to share his love of baking in this indulgent and uplifting collection of must-try recipes".
Farmhouse became well known Channel 4’s “The Great British Bake Off” in 2022, where he made it to the final. Now a full-time baker with over 188,000 followers on Instagram, he makes regular TV appearances and has cooked for Stormzy and Little Mix among other celebrities. Before appearing on the reality show, Farmhouse worked as a nanny and has since founded Baking on the Spectrum, an online workshop and resource that aims to create an inclusive and safe space for neurodiverse children and their caregivers.
