Happy Book Birthday to Rapunzel by Bethan Woollvin

We are wishing a very happy publication day to Rapunzel, the eagerly-anticipated second picture book by the wonderful author-illustrator Bethan Woollvin!

Golden-haired princess Rapunzel is kept trapped in a tower by a wicked witch, who steals her hair to sell for riches. Under the threat of a fearsome curse, Rapunzel seems doomed to a life of captivity. But this princess has other ideas ...
Bethan flips the classic Rapunzel fairy tale on its golden head, creating a fresh, funny and feisty heroine who's not afraid to let her hair down. This treat of a book has all the trademarks of Bethan's distinctive storytelling, and takes the reader on a terrific trip through grayscale illustrations, pinging with a bright pantone yellow. Also publishing today is the stunning new paperback edition of Bethan's debut picture book, Little Red, which was a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's book of 2016, and has been shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize and the AOI World Illustration Awards Children's Books New Talent category. Both Rapunzel and Little Red are published in the UK by Macmillan imprint Two Hoots.
