Ready, Set, Go! A very happy book birthday to The New Adventures of Mr Toad: A Race for Toad Hall, by Tom Moorhouse and illustrated by Holly Swain.
Teejay, Mo, and Ratty really shouldn't be exploring the overgrown grounds of Toad Hall - but that's never stopped them before. It's none other than Mr Toad, and he's been there for a hundred years . . .Fiona Noble picked this new fiction book out as 'One to Watch' in The Bookseller March Previews, and described this new take on the classic Mr Toad stories as being a combination of ‘top-notch storytelling from Moorhouse’ and ‘appealing, contemporary illustrations from Swain’.
Published by Oxford University Press, this is the first book in The New Adventures of Mr Toad series, with the second book, Toad Hall in Lockdown, due to be published in August 2017. We can't wait to enjoy all the mischief Mr Toad and his 21st century chums get up to!
