We loved hearing the brilliant The It Girl author Katy Birchall at this year's Young Adult Literary Convention!
Katy was on the panel for ‘She who laughs last laughs the laughiest’: Funny YA along with fellow YA authors Holly Smale, Jenny McLachlan and Nat Luurstema, and chaired by the wonderful Claire Hennessy. This hilarious and inspiring hour was filled with big questions, silly puns and bloody good jokes. Ranging from topics including the influence of Sue Townsend, the funniness of women's bodies, embarrassing moments, and why comedy is seriously important; we can't wait to start reading more funny and feminine YA.
