We are very excited that Kevin Waldron will be illustrating the new picture book of Michael Rosen's much-loved children's poem Chocolate Cake!
When I was a boy, I had a favourite treat. It was when my mum made . . . CHOCOLATE CAKE! Ohhh! I LOVED chocolate cake.First published in 1985 by Puffin, in Michael Rosen's anthology Quick! Let’s Get Out of Here!, Chocolate Cake is an ingenious celebration of every child's (and grown-up's) favourite treat, and we can't wait to see it paired with Kevin's brilliant and characterful illustrations. Kevin's previous picture books include Mr Peek & the Misunderstanding at the Zoo, Tiny Little Fly, Pandamonium at Peek Zoo , and most recently Harold’s Hungry Eyes, published by Phaidon Press, which stars a dog who would certainly like some chocolate cake of his own.
Published by Puffin, the Chocolate Cake picture book will be available to buy in August 2017...
