Little Red named one of New York Times’ Best Illustrated Books of 2016

Huge congratulations to Bethan Woollvin, whose debut picture book Little Red has been named one of the New York Times’ Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2016!

Every year since 1952, the Book Review has convened an independent panel of judges to select the New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Books. Judged purely on artistic merit, it’s the only annual award of its kind.
Here's what the judges had to about Little Red:
This reboot of the classic “Little Red Riding Hood” gives us a heroine who’s wised up from the start to the wolf’s trickster ways. Woollvin’s ingeniously minimalist illustrations use bold shapes and a palette of blacks, whites and greys with strategic pops of bright red, creating a jaunty and confident trip to the dark side and back.
SONY DSC We are so pleased for Bethan and her publishers Two Hoots and Peachtree, and congratulations to all the books on the list!
