We are delighted that both The Hippopandamouse by Jools Bentley and Life is Magic by Meg McLaren have been shortlisted for Read it Again! - the Cambridgeshire Children's Picture Book Award.
The Read it Again! award is for a debut picture book both written and illustrated by one individual, and the winner is chosen entirely by children from Cambridgeshire schools.
The shortlist of eight was chosen by 150 children, and starting in January 2017 thousands more children in local schools will be involved to pick the winner. We hope they love the fabulous The Hippopandamouse and the spectacular Life is Magic as much as we do!
We will be keeping our fingers crossed for both Jools and Meg, and we wish the best of luck to all the author-illustrators involved.
The Hippopandamouse is published by Macmillan, and Life is Magic is published by Andersen Press. Both books are available to buy online and in bookstores nationwide.
