Our superstar YA extraordinaire, Katy Birchall, has burst into the world of women’s fiction and has written some hilarious wedding-themed adult novels!
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to BLM agent, Lauren Gardner, Katy will be tying the knot with women’s fiction publisher, Kimberly Atkins at Hodder and Stoughton.
Atkins has said ‘I DO’ to WEL rights and audio for Katy’s first book, The Undercover Bride, and has caught the bouquet for the second wedding-themed romantic comedy too.
In addition to this massive news, on behalf of Lauren, Nicki Kennedy at ILA will also be walking Katy down the aisle in Germany to Piper.
A modern romantic comedy, The Undercover Bridesmaid is the story of Sophie, who is hired as a professional bridesmaid to help plan one of the biggest society weddings of the year – with hilarious results.
Katy’s first book is more than just a swoony rom-com as she crafts a painfully true depiction of navigating life as a young woman in your thirties, and how a broken friendship is always more painful than a broken heart.
