Emily Schofield is an illustrator based in Manchester who loves all things nature. While her use of collage dominates her practice, she loves to explore a range of media to create illustrations filled with whimsy and magic. Having graduated with a first-class illustration degree from Leeds Arts University, Emily is now focusing on expanding her body of work, with her fascination of tiny creatures being the driving force behind her practice. Colour and texture are integral to her process, filling page after page with splatters and swirls of paint to cut up, rearrange and work back into.
As well as filling her days with all things creative, Emily is a keen video maker, documenting her artistic journey on YouTube since she was 15 years old. While children’s illustration is her passion, Emily enjoys doing the occasional oil portrait, having been shortlisted to the top three on ‘Portrait Artist of The Year’ in 2021. During her free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, and making miniature models.
